Question 1

What is Argus?

Accepted Answer

Argus is one app where a convenience store or gas station owner runs the whole store: the cameras, the paper invoices, money in and out, stock and staff schedules. It works with the cameras the store already has, and with registers like Verifone and Gilbarco, with more on the way.

Question 2

What do I need to get started?

Accepted Answer

An account (your name, email and a password), the login for your camera recorder (NVR or DVR) and the login for your register (POS). You install a small Argus app on a Windows computer the store already has, one that stays on and is plugged into the same router as your camera recorder. There is no new hardware to buy, and setup takes under 5 minutes.

Question 3

Do I need new cameras or registers to use Argus?

Accepted Answer

No. Argus works with the cameras already in your store, and with Verifone and Gilbarco registers today, with more on the way. Nothing new to buy or mount. You install one small app on a store computer.

Question 4

Which stores is Argus built for?

Accepted Answer

Convenience stores and gas stations: stores with thin margins, long hours, and an owner who usually ends up doing the paperwork at night.

Question 5

What will Argus show me?

Accepted Answer

Every alert from your cameras with the video clip and the dollar amount, what you spend by category, what is selling and what to reorder, and who is on shift. Once your register is connected, your sales show up next to the video too.
